Last Light
30" x 30" oil $800.00
In the last light of day, the American eagle, a symbol of freedom, ceremoniously surveys his kingdom, a desert sanctuary. Generous golden light passionately kisses every edge, transforming the harsh landscape before putting it to bed. Gooddnight eagle. Goodnight desert. Thank you God, for the symphony of color.

“Dusk is just an illusion because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are there cannot be one without the other yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel I remember wondering to be always together yet forever apart?”

Lime Ice
8" x 10" watercolor $100.00
I am back from sleeping over a foam box for 6 days while we had visitors. This was after an operation for a detached retina. I had no pain, just restless boredom and achy bones from leaning forward so much. The doc says the retina now looks good! My hubby was my nurse...a formidable but always kindly there, nurse.
So for the winter scene, set in periwinkle and lime with white, coolness has set in. It is time for skiers and snowshoe buddies to take their cue without me. I am such a chicken when it comes to cold and speed. Just let me cuddle in a warm blanket and observe while cradling a hot cup of cocoa.

Simply Bright
10" x 8" watercolor on 140# cold press paper $100.00
Like the time you laid down in the tall grasses and srtoked your dogs fur and looked up and stared at the beautiful array of stems and blossoms and periwinkle sky. At once mind blinking and yet soothing. This sort of unfinishedness delights the eye and could not be improved by adding more.
