The Assessment...lavender and flax

9.5" x 7"    watercolor      $45.00
The image in the mirror reflects her silken skin and somber eyes.  She wonders if she has added too many silk flowers  and if this look is appropriate for schoolteacher, Ann, of Avonlea.  Adjusting the neckline and fretting with her magical image, she assesses that it is "just right" and the school play will go on.

Campfire Days Indigo and Flame Day 7 of the 30 day challenge

6" x 6"    watercolor and colored pencil    $35.00

Light swarms the face and shadows hide in the crevices.    I well remember the campfire nights huddled in a blanket next to my best friend, listening to stories of faith, honor, and duty that others carved out from past experience.  I pray that all young people have an opportunity to encounter the divine and take it into their hearts, through the goodness of those who are willing to share.

Profiling Periwinkle and Ivory Day 6 of the 30 day challenge

6" x 6"  watercolor   sold

A ballerina's  perfect bun is difficult to achieve.   If you have a blonde ballerina in your household maybe this would be the perfect gift.  I am trying a myriad of color combos in my 30 day challenge.  It will be auctioned starting at $15.00 on daily paintworks.com.

Profiling Chestnut and Mulberry Day 5 of the 30 day challenge

6" x 6"  watercolor    $35.00

Yesterday got lost around the corner, so today I have done two small paintings for day 5 and day 6.  I chose smaller simpler subjects this time and a wet on wet charming color study so that I could stay loose.  Much less stressful and much more delightful!

So if sunglasses are a statement as well as protecting your eyes, these two good buddies always goad one another into some sort of silliness.  I think they look absolutely stunning in their original eyewear par excellance!  Oh Yeah baby!

Furniture Climber

11" x 14"   watercolor and colored pencil     SOLD

Furniture Climber Day 3 of the 30 day challenge
Remind me to never paint this small again as I cannot see properly to do it. Took longer than necessary for sure!
I photographed this with indoor lighting. It is not as yellow as this. I could not resist the climbers liveliness. Everything about her said sweetness. She was back lit, so the shadows on her face were pretty dark.
