Naturally Inspired by the Sea

From beginning to end, this painting bewitched me.  I loved every minute of the detail, the waves, the colors and the serenity it brings.  Even though I a not a swimmer, the sea is calming and beautifully brilliant, a place I love to visit with family and an influence I compare with the Holy Spirit.

"Building Castles"

  24" x 48"  acrylic   SOLD

Young cousins and friends playing in the wet sand building a  castle at a local park.   Imagination and cooperation
make the play at once intimate, passionate and contructive.  This painting sold the first day I put it in the gallery to a family lawyer.
Would that all our relationships could be so sound.  It takes children to teach us how to build a castle of love.

"Sharecropper's Wife"

12" x 24"  watercolor framed and matted  $525.00

My favorite woman. She is a good woman who works hard everyday to help her husband and family.

She is a mother, age 27.
She is tired and could use a good back rub, and it is only  noon.  She must return to the fields after a refreshing cup of cold water from the cistern.
