Naturally Inspired by the Sea

From beginning to end, this painting bewitched me.  I loved every minute of the detail, the waves, the colors and the serenity it brings.  Even though I a not a swimmer, the sea is calming and beautifully brilliant, a place I love to visit with family and an influence I compare with the Holy Spirit.

"Little Punkins"

11" x 14"  watercolor unfinished

I am creating this portrait of my niece's new daughter for a demo I will be doing at the Pike's Peak Watercolor Society metting on May 16, at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts in Colorado Springs, CO.  My niece, who is also my namesake has four natural children and 2 beautiful adopted children.  She takes the most wonderful photos, and I am taking advantage of it.  They had gone to the pumpkin farm in the bright sunshine, and everything just glowed.  I am so happy for her and for the children.

"Rocky Mountain Presence"

24" x 30"   oil   $750.00

When you visit the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, you will be amazed at the variety of of colors, light, shapes and animals.  When the freshness of a sparkling, cascading stream fills your warm hands with cool liquid and you see the bubbling in the shadows  around the boulders, you can't help but consider how different it is from everyday living.  This is a magical, spiritual, natural, pristene habitat.  Can you find the bear?
