A Strong Voice

14" x 14"  watercolor    $175.00

She has a strong Colorado voice that supports others. When you grow up with nothing, you learn to speak up for yourself, for your brothers and sisters and friends.  You learn early to trust your Savior. and sing ind a deep alto voice that glorifies Him.  She is a confident feminine leader and enjoys reading and learning with a determination surpassing her youth.  She loves to jump in the pool and play baseball and never worries about trying to keep up with fashion or the latest  new toy.  She knows that someday if she continues to work hard she will have all that she needs and more.  She is a responsible friend and you can lean on her staunch shoulders in rough times.

"Building Castles"

  24" x 48"  acrylic   SOLD

Young cousins and friends playing in the wet sand building a  castle at a local park.   Imagination and cooperation
make the play at once intimate, passionate and contructive.  This painting sold the first day I put it in the gallery to a family lawyer.
Would that all our relationships could be so sound.  It takes children to teach us how to build a castle of love.

"Samantha"

8" x 10"  watercolor   SOLD

Samatha as a beagle puppy is so appealing with her giant bone and huge soft brown eyes and floppy lips and ears.  A friend asked me to paint it for her friend, because Samantha had now passed to a better place.  I loved painting this because it was very personal and I was so hoping that the painting would ease the pain of losing her.

"High Five"

8" x 8"  acrylic   $100.00

Companionships are not difficult for this little girl in her red accessories and fur coat.  She can chatter as long as she likes and her new smiling frosty, bewreathed friend will always listen with a high five twig.  I had actually snapped this shot of the little girl at a Nutcracker performance.  When I put her onto the canvas today she just begged to have a frosty friend.  I had never envisioned it before that.

"Skimming the Waters"

  w/c on 140 lb Fabriano paper    5/4/11   21" x 29"   $1250.00 framed

Skimming the Waters" from the 2009 CS ballon fest, Colorado Springs, Colorado.   Some of the balloonists lower their balloons and just skim the waters to give onlookers a treat. Thousands of people have awakened early in the morning, pulled on their warm clothes, grabbed their children and of course their cameras, and a snack and if it is not a windy day, the balloonists are given the okay to rise.  With a whoosh of hot air they are up up up and away in their beautiful balloons. It is a "heavenly",sight and a great way to spend a couple of hours for free! Bring your lawn chairs and a friend or two for a spectacular event in the park.
