Clean as a Robin's Whistle

6" x 6"  watercolor  $50.00
The birdbath is as necessary for a robin as it is for us.  After swimming they preen and put on their fine frocks and flit throughout the garden to entice their lover and to escape their obligations for awhile.....that is....until their ravenous chicks cry out for food.

Into the Woods to Sing

6" x 6" x 1"   acrylic painted on all sides  $60.00

This little robin sings when she finds worms for her babies and sings when she is telling her love how much she cares about him. We should do the same.  When we cook we should sing.  And when we want to show our loved ones affection, we should at least hum a little ditty over them.  Can you imagine how that would make them feel?  I know I would like it, because my mom used to sing to me and it made me feel very loved.

"The Eighth Day"

6" x 8" On The Eighth Day" SOLD

The eighth day in Jewish history is a new beginning.    I am enamored with the idea of newness.  New creations, starting over, change.
We are mostly reluctant to change as we get older.  We are tired  not wanting to be challenged to learn.  Why not?  As a small winged creature is desirous of flight,  we need to be desirous of making all things new.  Christ makes all things new every day.  New cells, new plants, new species, etc.  Ancient is exciting, and is history, but new is full of hope.  We can be examples to our children who are like robins, leaping from the nest into the world.

"The Early Robin Gets the Worms

18.5" x 26"  watercolor on Arches 140 lb paper  in white frame  $550.00

When the flaming orange sun begins to appear in the early morning  and most of us are still snuggled in bed, these fledgling babies are beginning to peep.  They are starving!  So diligent mother robin seeks and finds the tastiest morsels.  She is programmed to help her little ones grow strong, so they can one day be independent and fly away.

"I'll Fly Away"

6" x 6" acrylic on deep canvas painted on all sides  SOLD

I photographed many pictures of this little guy who tried so fervently to enter our glass window.  He would sit on the sill and peer in, with a wondering look, and then fly off, prepare himself for the next dive, and give me just enough time to make a new shot.  Luckily he was actually hitting the screen, so no hard impact.
