Prize Rooster

12" x 20"  watercolor   $125.00

When we lived in Scotland, one of my neighbors was showing me her prize roosters and chickens.  I cannot remember the type this one was, but he was gorgeous, and when she told him to "get up there" in her wonderful brogue, he just hopped up on the bench!  I was really surprised, but delighted to have such a "cocky" bird to photograph.

Into the Woods to Sing

6" x 6" x 1"   acrylic painted on all sides  $60.00

This little robin sings when she finds worms for her babies and sings when she is telling her love how much she cares about him. We should do the same.  When we cook we should sing.  And when we want to show our loved ones affection, we should at least hum a little ditty over them.  Can you imagine how that would make them feel?  I know I would like it, because my mom used to sing to me and it made me feel very loved.

Silver Moonshine

11" x 14"  oil on canvas  $125.00

Whooo would you expect to find in your tree tonight? My friend found this owl posing in a tree!  Happy chance!  I wish I were such a good photographer.  Of course I had to add the silvery moon to go with his character and slide some silvery blue under his handsome feathers of white.

"Sky Feathering"

13" x 21"  watercolor framed and matted  $400.00

Feathers have always fascinated me. Imagine how God put them together so perfectly in myriad colors and sizes and  distinct divisions that cause a bird to take flight.  Feathers cover the whole body and keeps them warm even though their bones and legs are so thin.  Wonder of wonders to me, who knows nothing about ornithology.  Imagine a world without birds!  I cannot.
