Yellow Braids...Day 2 of the 30 day challenge

12" x 9"  watercolor   $135.00

Young ladies love to create their own style, whether it is bohemian, classic,  ultra feminine,  beachy,
cosplay, dramatic, culture or country.  I am enamored with their delicate features, beautiful skin, eyes that sparkle and hair that can be tossed, straight, curly, short, braided or buned.  I adore their spunk, their desires, their strengths and poise.

Seagull's Silver Spoon

11" x 14"    watercolor    $145.00

Mr. Seagull found a silver spoon left on the beach by picnickers and boy is he protecting it.  I wonder if he will be having a bowl of cereal in the morning?  Or maybe he will be digging a cavern with it like I used to try to do so I could hide from everyone and store my precious marbles?  He could even be making fish soup for dinner and now he can eat it in style!

Owls New Blue Tights

111" x 14"   watercolor   $145.00
Baby owl curiously considers her new blue tights.  She wonders if anyone else besides herself likes them.  She is a bit unsure.  She wants your advice.
Maybe tomorrow she will wear purple or pink.

Sharing Abundance

16" x 20"  oil   $299.00
She arranged the bouquet with all the flowers from the garden she could find.  It was abundant at the end of the season, fragrant, with rich color.
It reminded her of her Mother's abundant hospitality, her smile and crinkled sunshine in her blue  sparkling eyes and the way she loved.

Abundance is best when it is shared.

May I Have This Dance?

20" x 20"    oil on deep canvas    $450.00

The intoxication of love is in the air. In the sunflower garden of delights, two bunnies meet and their eyes tell the story of their feelings. Their little hearts are beating fast. The music of the bees is about to begin and the birds will add their tweeting to complete this delightful scene.

Poppy Love

12" x 12"  oil on deep canvas with black painted sides   $145.00

Springtime gardens were awash with color, shape and mystery.  The deep velvety black center against the silky crimson petals always intrigue me.  I feel the same about butterflies.  There is something  delicate, yet bold about the way they are put together.  Maybe it is a metaphor for life with opposites, attraction, definition and the  sassy "come on".   Perhaps it is the fleeting floatiness.
I hurried to photograph this painting in the full bright sun,, which washes out color,  so it does not have quite the vibrancy it could have. After losing all my hard drive, I am scrambling without my iPhoto.  This is a good time to remind you all to bak up your computer.  Obviously it is just "stuff", but it is MY stuff.  I can live without most of it.
