"Red Hot Ruffled Tulip"

8" x 10"  watercolor matted and framed  $125.00

One Easter tulip so beautiful and crisp and satin.  I viewed this from the top and was smitten.  Have you ever been smitten?  Did I drool?  Yes.  Did I swoon?  Yes.  Was I fickle?  Yes.  As the blossom faded and fell, I became less enamored in it, yet each petal still had something velvet about it.  I cut the stem back several times in order to allow the stem to drink.  I thoroughly enjoyed it until the end.

At days end:

“People are like grass;
    their beauty is like a flower in the field.
The grass withers and the flower fades.
25     But the word of the Lord remains forever.”[f]

"Cloud Poppy" original acrylic

16" x 40"  original acrylic  $550.00

A giant floating, dreamy poppy with a whorl of stamens in the center, which is offset for that just right golden mean placement.  Your eyes can keep moving throughout the white petals with their ruffled, wrinkled shadows, like laugh lines around the eyes.
“Elder's Meditation of the Day - February 18  "laughter is a necessity in life that does not cost much, and the Old Ones say that one of the greatest healing powers in our life is the ability to laugh." --Larry P. Aitken, CHIPPEWA    Laughter is a good stress eliminator. Laughter causes healing powers to be distributed through our bodies. Laughter helps heal relationships that are having problems. Laughter can change other people. Laughter can heal the sick. Laughter is spiritual. One of the greatest gifts among Indian people has been our ability to laugh. Humor is natural to Indian people. Sometimes the only thing left to do is laugh.
