Whimsy, wrapping paper, brightly colored posies, a  little plaid,  and boxes all remind me of happy birthday.  It may remind you of something different, though.  This is the sequel to the piece called lemon refreshment.   Lines, dots, boxes and flower shapes all made with a palette knife.  It is a fun piece that calls out to you like happy birthday song.

Tulips and Iris came together for our church decor and the flowing lines and gorgeous colors reminded me of singing.  I think Mozart would have loved this bouquet!

"Rise and Shine Roses"

Hi Everyone,

These dreamy roses had a spectacular perfumy fragrance and lasted long enough for me to take several photos inside and outside, so I hope to paint a few more rosey oils and maybe some watercolors as well.  Wish you could have had a cup of tea with me and lingered awhile so you could have seen them.  My darling husband sure spoiled me on Mother's Day!  I love being spoiled!  I love bright flowers!  I love my life!

"Echinacea Gone Wild"

Painted last year in the late summer when echinacea is in bloom and thriving.   Also known as the cone flower.  I think they look like ballerinas in pink tutus.
