A beautiful handmade drawer made by one of my sons was the perfect set up for these seashells I carefully collected in California, and a small sugar spoon from England.  The natural grains in the wood and the creases and bumps so evenly designed on the shells and starfish are pure wonderment.  And did I even mention the iridescent colors?

On a ferry ride from France to England, this gnarly, joy filled man was hanging on the railing, taking in every ounce of beauty that he could.  I asked him if it would be alright to snap his amazing visage, and he gladly agreed.  His character shows in his face, leathery like his jacket, and good humored like his tee shirt and he has a sense of familiarity.  Like someone who has probably worked and played hard, is good natured but tough and tries not to miss out on anything.
